Studio4Culture

Listen to a concert live on site? Or do you prefer to stream from home? Both are possible with the new culture platform www.studio4culture.net

We have all learned in the past few months that experiencing a live concert is a special and irreplaceable asset. Especially in these days, in the second peak of the pandemic, all questions are becoming new and painfully topical: How can our work be transported into the digital space?

The result is Studio4Culture – a digital music platform that enables not only the streaming of live events, but also a lively exchange with the audience.
We are enthusiastic about the idea of re-exploring the border areas between digital and analog and combining live events with on-site audience with streaming and new digital – interactive – possibilities.

We want to invite, arouse curiosity, inform, network: Herzlich Willkommen!

Capella Summer Concerts

We are very happy about some great events in the last days and weeks that could take place despite Corona. A very special highlight was the concert “RENAISSANCE / ELECTRONIC / REMIX” in the Auhausen monastery church. Many thanks to the organizers of Musica Ahuse for making the concert possible and also to you, dear audience, for your enthusiasm and joy!

At the same time, with every new concert cancellation due to corona, we are aware of the fragility of the current situation: The further course and effects of the pandemic cannot yet be foreseen in any way.

Nevertheless, we want to try to continue to deal with the situation positively and work on new ideas and formats. More information and current developments here soon.

PraetoriusDANCES – Capella/HOPE/Project 1

It was a wonderful return to our Capella ensemble world at the ION 2020 music festival!

As a ghost concert, we were able to present our new Praetorius TANZT project on July 4th, 2020, which we had recorded on CD in the days before in the beautiful monastery church in Auhausen. The end of the concert was a particularly emotional moment: All of us realized once again how much we missed making music together – and you too, dear listeners ans friends!

We further hope that events with audience in the same room will be allowed again soon and look forward to you.

In the meantime, we are working on new digital formats and are happy to inform you about the latest developments.

You can still see and hear our first CapellaHOPEProject following the lomk below. It was a pleasure for us to make music together again and have such a wonderful team of dancers with us. Have a look yourself!

CapellaNATIONWIDE

A COMMUNITY connected by music

Playing the same melody from different REGIONS all over the country with teachers and rehearsal leaders from Capella de la Torre! CapellaNATIONWIDE is an innovative model project that will be continued in an expanded form in the future.

On Sunday, June 14, 2020, from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., members of Capella de la Torre residing in various regions of Germany will be responsable for 3-7 amateur musicians of different ages (exact numbers depending on the regional corona regulations).

The country-wide music lesson takes place open air.

The same pieces of renaissance music will be sung and played everywhere at the same time (notes for download at www.capella-on-air.de).

Due to the Corona-situation also the professional musicians from Capella de la Torre are hardly allowed to see each other live and play concerts together. This is particularly painful this year, because the ensemble is celebrating its 15th birthday .

On the evening of June 14, 2020, everyone involved will meet in a zoom video conference for debriefing from home. Everyone can share the experience they have just had with music and making music together with friends at the other end of the country.

The individual events are recorded on video / photo and at the end combined into a video clip to build up a database for new CapellaNATIONWIDE events.

CapellaDIGITAL Workshop – Thanks

What a blast! A very big thanks to the Capella-team and our wonderful participants for the past DIGITAL workshop days!

I was a real adventure and we got lots of new insights and ideas: Pierre de la Rue and the splendid choir book manuscript of Philip the Fair – at Zoom! We remember some very special and unforgettable days full of music and community – comings from 16 cities across Europe!

A journey through time and space that we certainly will start again very soon! 🙂

Praetorius 400: Terpsi Wunderblau

PraetoriusDANCES is one of the CapellaHOPEProjects in this strange Corona year 2020. After many months without concerts together, we will start the Capella season in Nuremberg at the ION festival with a program from Terpsichore.

We are very happy to present yet another project on Michael Praetorius: The well-known children’s book author and illustrator Jörg Hilbert has written a musical fairy tale with the title Terpsi Wunderblau.

The project contains music from the Terpsichore collection by Michael Praetorius, plus a shadow play and lyrics – written, designed and read by Jörg Hilbert.

At the end of the story we realize: what made people dance in the past still works perfectly for us today. 🙂
